Real-time control pick and place experiment. Participants were instructed to use a prosthetic hand to grasp and relocate three objects and finally press the ‘space’ key on a computer keyboard (left). Five grip types were used: power/cylindrical (water bottle), lateral (credit card simulator), tripod (CD), index finger pointer (computer keyboard) and hand open.
